       I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and I still enjoy visits back to my roots in the desert and the beautiful Northern Arizona mountains.   In 1970 Bob, my husband, and I and our growing family decided to leave the big city and move to the rural Missouri Ozarks, over-looking beautiful Lake Stockton.    We've enjoyed being here ever since.

I've found over the years that we rush through our lives and don't notice the wonderful people and things around us.    Until they are gone that is.      Nothing more true than when our small town of Stockton was hit by a tornado in 2003, and then recently Joplin.     I try to capture some of those special things or moments in time, and preserve them now and for the future.     Another new challenge is painting plein air, or on site.   Doing this I've met some wonderful folks, and being out in nature is a gift in itself, bugs and all!   Each painting I do is a learning experience, as I grow as an artist each day and as I paint to tell my story and the story of life around me.   My hope is that my paintings bring a warm feeling and a smile to your face.  

 I've learned from and been inspired by many artists, such as Matt Smith,  Albert Handell,  Dennis Yates, John Roush and Carol Ranney.       I'm proud to be represented by the Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as the Waverly House Gifts & Gallery, in Springfield, Missouri.
